• 32.1-137.05. Advance disclosure of charge for elective procedure, test, or service (2016): Requires hospitals to provide a patient with an estimate of the payment amount for which they will be responsible for an elective procedure, test, or service.
• 32.1-122.10:01. Review of Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs): Under state law, HMOs are required to submit performance data on commercial (excludes Medicare and Medicaid members) and fund the development of the HMO web pages to benefit consumers, employers and the general public.
