CMS launched Care Compare in September 2020, a redesigned Medicare compare tool that allows users to find information about quality measures, star ratings and care experiences for doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, dialysis facilities, hospices, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and long-term care hospitals.
CMS Care Compare – Physicians helps you find and compare physicians and other clinicians enrolled in Medicare so that you can make informed decisions about your health care. You can learn about health care quality by exploring clinician and groups’ profile pages, where you’ll find information like quality activity participation, performance information, and patient survey scores. Knowing which quality activities clinicians and groups participate in shows you some of what they’re doing to improve the care they give patients. Performance information is based on clinicians and groups providing the best recommended care and patient survey scores give insight into what other patients thought about their care.
