CMS launched Care Compare in September 2020, a redesigned Medicare compare tool that allows users to find information about quality measures, star ratings and care experiences for doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, dialysis facilities, hospices, inpatient rehabilitation facilities and long-term care hospitals.
CMS Care Compare – Nursing Homes allows you to find and compare nursing homes certified by Medicare and Medicaid. This website contains quality of resident care and staffing information for more than 15,000 nursing homes around the country. Nursing homes provide skilled care to people who can’t be cared for at home and need 24-hour nursing care. The information on Care Compare – Nursing Homes provides information on how nursing homes have performed on health and fire safety inspections; how the nursing home is staffed with nurses and other healthcare providers; and how well nursing homes care for their residents.
