Scottish Inpatient Experience Survey

, ,

The Scottish Inpatient Experience Survey includes the latest patient experience survey results of people aged 16 years or older who had an overnight hospital stay between April and September 2017 in Scotland. The survey, which is administered by post, covers six specific areas of inpatient experience: admission to hospital; the hospital and ward; care and treatment; hospital staff; arrangements for leaving hospital; and care and support services after leaving hospital.  Performance comparisons are available at the following reporting levels: Scotland Region, NHS Board, Hospital and Strata. (Strata are defined in collaboration with each NHS Board and may be at site (hospital) level, a grouping of smaller hospitals or sub-site directorate or grouped specialties with a larger hospital).
