The FOCUS on Healthcare initiative is an online reporting tool, allowing users to navigate data through user-friendly, interactive charts. Content on the site is specific to Alberta and includes patient experience data, health outcome data, and where possible, economic data (cost-effectiveness) across a variety of sectors of healthcare. Information is available for Alberta’s 16 Emergency Departments and Primary Healthcare. Data is also available for Continuing Care in Alberta, including long term care, designated supportive living, and home care.
Focus on Emergency Departments Website features 18 interactive charts that are updated quarterly (every three months) and presents administrative data as well as patient experience survey data. You can compare emergency departments and look at data presented quarterly versus monthly.
Focus on Primary Healthcare Website features data about Alberta’s primary healthcare system including clinical care, delivery of care and patient experience. The website features 15 interactive charts with information about what patients experience with primary healthcare in the province. Information can be viewed by Zone (the five Alberta Health Services geographic areas), or compare information between Primary Care Networks (PCNs). The data on FOCUS on Primary Healthcare is updated annually.
Focus on Long Term Care Website features 25 interactive charts that present administrative data as well as family experience survey data. Information about designated supportive living sites or zones can be viewed and compared over time.
