Private Healthcare Information Network Release Annual Report 21-22

There were over 9 million episodes of acute elective care in 2021 in the UK. Of these, over 700,000 were privately funded at either independent or NHS sites. That is just over 7% of the episodes across the year, according to the new Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) Annual Report for 2021-22.  The annual report looks at some of the data collected about those episodes, including the most common specialties, patient demographics and fee information.
