5 States With Lowest Healthcare Costs in U.S.

According to the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center, the following five states pay the least for healthcare on average as of the second quarter of 2022, writes Nasdaq.com: Kentucky, Arkansas, Maryland, Alabama and Tennessee.  When quality of care is factored in, along with cost, of the five states mentioned above, only Maryland ranks well (coming in 6th overall) for healthcare access and quality, according to U.S. News and World Report. All the others are ranked 40th or below for quality.
