STAT News reports Medicare will continue to report hospital safety data as usual next year after the program reversed course on its plans to suppress this data, as revealed in the final hospital payment rule for 2023 which was released Monday.
In May, the Leapfrog Group had called on patient safety groups and other stakeholders to use their collective voice to urge CMS to reverse their proposal (AHT. 5/27/2022).
