On July 15, 2022, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the proposed Medicare payment rates for hospital outpatient and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) services. The calendar year (CY) 2023 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and ASC Payment System Proposed Rule, published annually, will affect 3,411 hospitals and approximately 5,500 ASCs.
