Review Finds Only 14.3% of Hospitals Complying with Federal Price Transparency Rules

An updated analysis from PatientRightsAdvocate.org found hospitals’ compliance with federal price transparency requirements increased less than 10% since its last review in July.  The July review found only 5.6% of hospitals were in line with these price transparency requirements.

Fierce Healthcare reports that online 0.5% of hospitals within large systems like CommonSpirit, Ascension and HCA met the federal requirements. For-profit HCA, the largest of the three, was found by the group to fall short across every one of its 188 hospitals.
