A new dashboard designed to give health services access to an interactive version of their Performance Monitor report dashboard has been released by the Victorian Agency for Health Information on the VAHI Portal.
The Health Service Performance Monitoring Dashboard aims to improve visibility of health service performance against the Performance Monitoring Framework, and increase health services’ capacity to make more targeted, actionable and timely improvement decisions. It will give health service CEOs, board chairs and authorised staff a shared view of how the health service is tracking against key indicators, with an ability to further interrogate the results.
The first release of the dashboard allows health services to filter measures by type and whether they have been achieved or not, to drill down into a measure for more detail, including benchmarked performance charts, and link to an emergency department data exploration tool.
Future releases will add more functionality including greater ability to filter the dashboard and to explore additional datasets such as elective surgery and specialist clinics.
The first version of the new dashboard is available via VAHI portal for authenticated users. Future versions will also be released via VAHI portal, with information on functionality improvements to be made available ahead of time through VAHI news and other channels.
