Nursing home quality data on the Medicare Care Compare Website was updated on October 27 2021 as follows.

Measures for Long-Stay residents: (16 measures)

Measures used to calculate the star rating – Long-stay residents (9 measures)

  1. Percentage of long-stay residents whose need for help with daily activities has increased (20Q3_21Q2)
  2. Percentage of long-stay residents whose ability to move independently worsened (20Q3_21Q2)
  3. Percentage of long-stay high-risk residents with pressure ulcers (20Q3_21Q2)
  4. Percentage of long-stay residents who have or had a catheter inserted and left in their bladder (20Q3_21Q2)
  5. Percentage of long-stay residents with a urinary tract infection (20Q3_21Q2)
  6. Percentage of long-stay residents experiencing one or more falls with major injury (20Q3_21Q2)
  7. Percentage of long-stay residents who got an antipsychotic medication (20Q3_21Q2)
  8. Number of hospitalizations per 1,000 long-stay resident days (20Q2_21Q3)
  9. Number of outpatient emergency department (ED) visits per 1,000 long-stay resident days (20Q2_21Q3)

Flu and pneumonia prevention measures – Long-stay residents (2 measures)
