New hospital-acquired complications (HACs) report for Victoria

In December, Victorian Agency for Health Information (VAHI) will release its first Hospital-acquired complications in Victorian public health services report. This new quarterly report for health services includes a statewide and health service level overview of hospital-acquired complications (HAC) results – most of them risk-adjusted, with visualisations designed to support both benchmarking between peers and local improvement initiatives.

The data presented in the report is based on the national list of 15 reportable HACs (version 2.0) developed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care.
