Fourth Major Trauma Audit National Report on Quality of Care of Severely Injured Trauma Patients in Irish Healthcare System

The National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) released the fourth Major Trauma Audit (MTA) national report which examines the most severely injured patients in the Irish healthcare system. The report presents data from over 5,400 patients across 26 trauma hospitals in Ireland, representing 88% of all major trauma patients in 2018. This is the second year that the MTA has provided hospital-level data.

The Major Trauma Audit (MTA) was established by the National Office of Clinical Audit (NOCA) in 2013. This audit focuses on care of the more severely injured trauma patients in the Irish healthcare system.
