The Care Quality Commission (CQC) released its annual assessment of the state of health care and adult social care in England for 2018/19.
The data on inspections and ratings in the report are for CQC ratings published as at 31 July 2019. Most of the analysis in this report is generated by CQC, specifically quantitative analysis of their inspection ratings of almost 32,000 services and providers, drawing on other monitoring information including staff and public surveys, and performance.
The CQC’s annual assessment of the state of health and social care in England shows that quality ratings have largely been maintained overall, but people’s experience of care is determined by whether they can access good care when they need it.
