The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) released its 2019-2020 Health Insurance Plan Ratings for private (commercial), Medicare and Medicaid health insurance plans. The 2019-2020 Health Insurance Plan Ratings reviewed nearly 1,500 plans and rated more than 1,000 private (commercial), Medicare and Medicaid plans based on their combined HEDIS®, CAHPS® and NCQA Accreditation standards scores. Rating metrics measure health care quality and patient satisfaction. Ratings include both Accredited and nonaccredited health plans. Accreditation status is as of June 30, 2019. The 2019–2020 ratings were published online on September 20, in time for consumers to use this valuable information during open enrollment.
