The Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) has released the 2018 Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD) Annual Report. The report reviews how much the CO APCD – the state’s most comprehensive health claims database – has grown over the previous five years, looking at the number of Coloradans it represents, and how individuals and organizations are using the data to inform decisions that will improve health and lower costs.
The CO APCD now contains claims for approximately three quarters of the covered lives in Colorado, with claims from 39 commercial health insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage and voluntarily submitted self-insured employer plans, plus Medicaid and Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) claims.
