A new report report from Cuidiú, the Irish Childbirth Trust – The Bump2Babe Consumer Guide to Maternity Services – looked at the performance of all 19 maternity units in Ireland. The Bumb2Babe index is compiled from data from the Maternity Patient Safety Statements published monthly by each of the 19 maternity hospitals and units. Most of the reports include year-to-date (YTD) figures and the figures included in the latest report are the December 2016 and 2017 YTD figures. The guide enables the user to view how each maternity unit performs on a range of interventions and how these compare nationally. Comprehensive birth statistics are provided for maternity units nationwide and are presented in an accessible and understandable format
