Scoop Health writes: New research reveals that elderly New Zealanders are being denied the chance to live better and improve their health and well-being simply because of where they live. The report – Caring for our older Kiwis: The right place, at the right time – published by the New Zealand Aged Care Association (NZACA) and based on more than 300,000 anonymized clinical assessments done throughout New Zealand over the past three years, provides evidence of the benefits of rest home care, but also raises serious concerns about the ability of many elderly people to access care when they need it.
