New wait time data released by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) shows that Canadians are waiting longer for joint replacements and cataract surgeries, while doctors are performing more of these procedures than they did in 2015.
Meanwhile, wait times for radiation therapy and hip fracture repair remained stable in 2017. Data on trends from 2013 to 2017 is available in CIHI’s online Wait Times tool, organized by province, health region and procedure.
