THE Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service in Queensland, Australia, released the Quality of Care Report, reporting of clinical care in Queensland. The report reviews the standard of services provided to patients in the 2014/2015 financial year and is based on a similar undertaking from health bodies in Victoria and the United Kingdom. The report includes data on clinical measures such as rates of infection, mortality, medication errors and patient falls, but also includes other important aspects of WBHHS’s service provision such as surgery waiting times and complaint turnaround times.
