First Report of Revisits, ED Visits Within 30 Days of Discharge in Massachusetts

The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) released it’s first report of revisits, emergency department (ED) visits within 30 days of an inpatient discharge, in Massachusetts. In this new report – Emergency Department Visits After Inpatient Discharge: SFY 2015 – CHIA analyzed revisits—defined here as a visit to the ED within 30 days of an inpatient discharge—and provides a first statewide examination of revisits for the all-payer adult population in Massachusetts acute care hospitals.
