Home health quality data has been refreshed on CMS Home Health Compare (data updated January 26, 2017) as follows:

1. Quality of patient care measures:

  • Managing daily activities (3 measures)  – reporting data for time period 15Q3_16Q2
  • Managing pain and treating symptoms (5 measures) – reporting data for time period 15Q3_16Q2
  • Treating wounds and preventing pressure sores (4 measures)  – reporting data for time period 15Q3_16Q2
  • Preventing harm (8 measures) – reporting data for time period 15Q3_16Q2
  • Preventing unplanned hospital care (4 measures) – reporting data for time period 15Q2_16Q1

2. Patient survey results (5 measures)  15Q3_16Q2

Six measures were dropped during the January 2017 refresh (as finalized in the 2017 HH PPS rule), including:

  1. Pain Assessment Conducted;
  2. Pain Interventions Implemented during All Episodes of Care;
  3. Pressure Ulcer Risk Assessment Conducted;
  4. Pressure Ulcer Prevention in Plan of Care;
  5. Pressure Ulcer Prevention Implemented during All Episodes of Care; and
  6. Heart Failure Symptoms Addressed during All Episodes of Care.
