AHRQ has released new information in HCUP Fast Stats — National Hospital Utilization and Costs. This new topic focuses on national statistics on inpatient stays: trends, most common diagnoses, and most common operations. In addition, AHRQ has released a second update of the Effect of Medicaid Expansion on Hospital Use to include new quarterly and annual inpatient data. Since the last update in October 2015, the Medicaid Expansion section now includes additional 2015 data (for a total of 12 States) and 2014 data (for a total of 24 States). The 12 States with 2015 data are: Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.
