The Pennsylvania Department of Health released the 2014 report on Healthcare-Associated Infections in Pennsylvania, The report documents a 7 percent reduction in the incidence of health care-associated infections (HAIs) in Pennsylvania’s hospital patient population and a corresponding estimate of $138 million in health care cost savings.
HAI annual reports have been posted online since 2008 by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, in line with their responsibilities created by Act 52 of 2007.
