Data on the Illinois Hospital Report Card and consumer guide to health care Web site (healthcarereportcard.illinois.gov) was updated in March. Data updates included updates to quality, infection, procedures, nurse staffing and patient safety data, was published. Hospital quality measures reported are for time-period April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
Also included in this data update were:
- Updated health care-associated infection data on surgical site infections associated with coronary artery bypass surgeries and total knee replacement surgeries, based on data from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. Also included data in statewide aggregate report.
- Added statewide trend report on surgical site infections associated with coronary artery bypass surgeries and total knee replacement surgeries for reporting years July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2014.
- Updated composite “Process of Care Measures” from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare performance measure data from April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
- Updated all Process of Care measures that are used to calculate the composite data and provided state/national average for April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
- Added new “Process of Care Measures” from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare performance measures for stroke and blood clot with data from April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014.
- Updated “Satisfaction Survey Responses” data to report the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare satisfaction measure data from Jan 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.
- Updated “Thirty Day Mortality Rates” and Readmission Rates” from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Hospital Compare data from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2013.
- Updated Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP) measure data from April 1, 2013 through March 31, 2014
