Home Health quality data has been updated on the CMS Home Health Compare Web site, reporting data for January through December 2011 except for the following measure where data is reported for July 2010 through June 2011:
- How often patients receiving home health care needed urgent, unplanned care in the emergency room – without being admitted to the hospital
- Are short of breath less often
- How often patients’ wounds improved or healed after an operation
- How often the home health team treated their patients’ pain
- How often the home health team began their patients’ care in a timely manner
- How often the home health team checked patient’s risk of falling
- For patients with diabetes, how often the home health team got doctor’s orders, gave foot care, and taught patients about foot care
