A new online report card (QualityInsight.ca) released by the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council, reports on indicators of quality across different sectors of care in Saskatchewan. The site, launched Thursday, contains information on hospitals, waiting times, safety, communication and community health indicators. The site was primarily designed for health care providers, managers, and leaders, it also provides the public with access to information about how their health system is performing. The data for the indicators on this web site comes from a variety of sources, including analysis of administrative data from the Ministry of Health, the Saskatchewan Acute Care Patient Experience Survey, and data from organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Health Information and the Canadian Community Health Survey.
