Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) has created myhospitalcare.ca – a new website promoting better public access to hospital performance information. The site allows users to learn more about how hospitals are performing by location, type of care, for one of 39 different indicators.
The site uses measurements, or ‘indicators’, selected from the Hospital Report Research Collaborative, the Canadian Institute for Health Information, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The indicators highlight information that is relevant to the patient experience and relate specifically to quality of care; including clinical outcomes, patient safety, family satisfaction, patient satisfaction, perception of care and wait time.
