A new statewide survey on uninsured rates shows that more than one million Pennsylvanians lack health insurance coverage – an increase from a similar study in 2004. The report, released by the Pennsylvania Insurance Commission, found that, overall, 8.2 percent of residents were uninsured, up from 7.5 percent in 2004, and uninsured numbers increased in most survey categories.
