Utah Department of Health (UDOH) Health Data Committee (HDC) and Division of Health Care Financing released it’s 2008 Performance Report for Utah Commercial HMOs and Medicaid & CHIP Health Plans.
Data in this report comes from the Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) collected for measurement year 2007 and the 2008 Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS®).
Key Findings in this report indicate that Commercial HMOs are:
- above national averages on ratings for health plan, personal doctor, health care and specialist;
- – meeting national averages for children’s immunizations;
- – below national averages on Chlamydia screening, cervical cancer screening, and breast cancer screening; and
- – below national averages on access to primary care providers for children.
