National Quality Forum seeks patient-survey tools

The National Quality Forum has announced a new project seeking patient-survey tools it could add to its home-health measures, reports Modern Healthcare.

The NQF is asking organizations and individuals to submit their patient-satisfaction and quality-survey tools via e-mail by Sept. 15. The quality organization said it will evaluate them for inclusion in its National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Home Health Care project.

The NQF said that it already endorses patient-experience measures in hospital and ambulatory-care settings but wants to expand guidelines that providers can follow for ensuring patients’ views are known regarding treatment. Home health plays a role in that treatment across the continuum of care, according to the NQF.
