Google Goes Live With Online Personal Health Record Service
Google has created an online health profile for the public. It allows users to store health records from various organizations such as lab testing companies and pharmacies. Users will always have access to this information, which can be helpful when changing physicians/insurances.
The health profile provides a ‘virtual pillbox’ informing patients when they need to take their medications. It can also warn consumers of harmful drug interactions. Consumers have the option of sharing their health records with health care providers.
