Utah’s Performance Report-2006

Frequency: Quarterly

Measure Type: Process, Patient Satisfaction.

Utah’s department of health has created a report presenting data on five health maintenance organizations (HMO), two Medicaid HMO’s, two Medicaid health plans, and two children’s health insurance program HMO’s. This report is updated annually for the public. It aids to inform consumers of the current quality care insurances, along with illustrating to companies the areas which need improvement.

There are three sections for this report. The first describes the quality of care using the Health Plan Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measure. For this report, HEDIS used 67 measures to test eight areas of care (i.e. helping people stay healthy). The second section (first year being used for this report) describes customer satisfaction using the Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS). The final section provides information about the individuals who took the satisfaction survey. The satisfaction survey questions are listed at the end of the document.
