The California hospital quality site (CalHospitalCompare.org), which provides ratings for 210 California hospitals, has been expanded to include mortality rates for intensive care units, hospitals’ efforts in stopping bedsores and work aimed at eliminating complications when respirators are used, reports Ventura County Star.
Produced by the California Healthcare Foundation, the site allows users to compare hospitals in their area based on quality of care and consumer experience. The site had also been expanded last year to include pneumonia mortality and key surgical infection prevention measures.
